Dear FEEST Family,
We hope that you and your loved ones are as well and safe as possible during this time that tests our individual and collective resilience. While things are changing quickly, we are meeting the moment and taking action. We listened to the needs of young people and their families, and pivoted swiftly to face the COVID-19 crisis.
We are calling on community members like you to support our work and help us meet these families’ needs.
Since schools closed in March:
-
We set up a free grocery program delivering healthy food to over 400 families and counting in South Seattle and South King County.
-
We created a resource bank based on the needs of our students.
-
We continue virtual base-building and youth-led food justice organizing that reaches youth who are isolated and unsure about their future, deepens the political analysis of the moment, and centers joyful and creative activities.
-
We are working to get wi-fi access for students so they can continue virtual education and events.
Our community is generously stepping up to donate their time and funds to help make this program possible. Our deepest gratitude to the donors and volunteers who already pitched in!
Make a donation today as part of of GiveBIG, Seattle’s online giving drive, and thanks to our community’s generosity, we are able to match your donations up to a total of $5,000. Donations will go towards our grocery delivery program, and to support our ongoing youth-led food justice organizing. Help us reach our goal of $10,000! Give today to double your impact!
