2012 Theme: Advocacy – Using our voices to raise awareness

The B.O.O.M Youth Summit began in 2009 as a youth-driven project of the Youth Media Institute. Initially, it was conceived as an opportunity for youth to discuss community issues, gain skills to address their concerns for the community, and determine youth priorities for community development in the area.

In the 2012 youth summit, a variety of workshops will be provided for your choosing (tracks listed below). Legislators will also be present in the afternoon to listen to youth voices speak to the issues that affect our communities. The stories we tell build our future, so be here, and be heard!
