Fresh on the Menu: Youth leaders at Tyee and Evergreen landed their very first breakfast item on the Highline School District menu, a delicious apple bread. We’re excited to see many more FEEST-designed items on the menu this year to help students fuel up for the school day.
Bold New Territory: Building on our success in the Highline district, we’re expanding our school foods campaign work to Seattle Public Schools. Last week we had our first meeting with Seattle’s new Nutrition Director to talk about what we’ve heard from young people about their school food experiences. Looking forward to a fruitful (hehe!) partnership.
Spreading the Love: We’re gearing up to start FEEST dinners at Rainier Beach and Tyee High Schools. Youth leaders at both schools are excited chop, simmer, taste, and share delicious meals and build community with peers.
