The first time I came to FEEST was with my friend Chris. I’d been having a pretty rough day and didn’t really want to go home and he asked me if I wanted to come to Youngstown with him. I’d been hearing a lot about it from my friends, but I wasn’t really sure what to expect. I felt a little awkward not really knowing anyone, but people were super friendly. The food was pretty great, sometimes a little crunchy, but really filling. I found myself not being able to finish everything on my plate. Besides the people, I think one of my favorite things was how everyone went around the table before eating and said their name and something they were grateful for. It felt really honest and gave you a glimpse of their life.
